P: Drive Web Connection for Macs

**Please note changes below for VPN requirements.  VPN is now required.**

Configuration Notes: 

Students

Mac users can connect to the P:Drive Web Connection by the following steps in OSX:

• Select Finder
• Select Go
• Select Connect to Server

     Enter the following: smb://psbdfilesrvr.psu-erie.bd.psu.edu/student/youruserid --where youruserid is your Access ID (ie, abc123)

• When prompted enter your Access credentials as noted below.

Faculty

Mac users can connect to the P:Drive Web Connection by the following steps in OSX:

• Select Finder
• Select Go
• Select Connect to Server

     Enter the following: smb://psbdfilesrvr.psu-erie.bd.psu.edu/faculty/youruserid       --where youruserid is your Access id (ie, abc123)

• When prompted enter your access credentials as noted below.

Note: You will be prompted to enter your credentials to access this disk space.  Once prompted, please enter your credentials in the following manner:

        username: your-access-account 

        password: your-access-account-password

**A VPN connection IS required to access your P: drive from a third party ISP , PSU modems, or on-campus dorms.  To download a MAC VPN client..please visit https://downloads.its.psu.edu/ - choose Connecting to Penn State and VPN-Virtual Private Network- Macintosh.
